Creating value acknowledges the need to look beyond profits and production lines and focus on relating to and communicating with stakeholders, to determine how to produce outcomes that maximise economic benefits for the company, increase stakeholder satisfaction and improve stakeholder experience.
Creating value therefore poses new opportunities as well as challenges, and requires new ways of relating and deliberating with stakeholders. This module provides the tools and skills necessary to capture and create value. It focusses on strategic thinking that creates a value-based culture and the processes and systems necessary to implement that culture.

What is The CEO Institute’s Certified CEO program?
The Certified CEO program is an online leadership program for aspiring and experienced executives. It aims to equip leaders worldwide with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully carry out executive leadership functions.
Who is eligible?
The Certified CEO program is designed for experienced and aspiring business leaders from around the globe. The program is aimed at CEOs, Senior Managers and Middle Managers who are working in Government, Government Enterprises, Private Companies, Listed Companies, Partnerships, Sole Traders, Not-For-Profit Organisations and Charities.
Candidates who do not meet the requirements for certification can still undertake the Certified CEO program to improve employment-related skills for career development, and be assessed for certification at a future date.
How do I enrol?
Enrolment in the Certified CEO program is simple. Go to https://www.unep.edu.au/ceo/ceoi/ . Enrolment can be completed at any time, and as the course is delivered online, there are no set terms or semester dates.
How will I learn?
Candidates in the Certified CEO program complete the program in an online environment. Learning is done at your own pace, in your own time, using your compatible device.
All course content is available online, and delivered through a modern and intuitive Virtual Learning Environment. The Learning Environment is easy to navigate, and is presented in a rich and engaging format.
What if I require support while studying?
Candidates have access to a range of support services. These services are accessible using telephone, video conferencing or email throughout the duration of the course.
How is the Certified CEO program structured?
The Certified CEO program is delivered online, and consists of five modules including a practical Capstone Project. The four initial modules leveraging contemporary resources from the University of New England and leading business journals ensure the Certified CEO program reflects emerging global best practice. The final module (Capstone Project) will provide an opportunity to work with an executive coach to apply everything you have learned to your workplace. The program’s duration is approximately 300 hours of study, which can be undertaken at your own pace over 12 months.
Can I fast track my study?
We recognise that many of you will already have a vast range of personal, professional and academic experience prior to joining the Certified CEO program. To ensure that you can spend as much time learning new and exciting things as possible, we have incorporated a clever ‘fast-track’ feature into the design of the Certified CEO program.
Prior to the commencement of every ‘lesson’ within the program, you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your existing level of understanding. If you obtain 100% through this quick 'fast-track test' then you will be given the option to skip the remainder of the lesson altogether.

After successfully completing the Certified CEO program and subscribing to the International Institute of Directors & Managers (IIDM), there are two levels of certification available:
What is required for Certified Manager Certification?
Completion of Modules 1 & 3, plus three years' management experience.
A subscription to the International Institute of Directors and Managers (IIDM) is a requirement under the Rules for Certification for achieving and maintaining certification. This subscription costs USD1 for the first 12 months, and thereafter the annual subscription fee applies (currently USD99 p.a.).

The program contributes up to four units of credit to the University of New England’s MBA program:
