The CEO Institute - A meeting of minds
The CEO Institute was founded by Ken Gunn, Chairman & CEO, in 1992, as a membership organisation for Chief Executives and in 2011 became the world’s first global certification body for CEOs.

The CEO Institute was established to help business leaders connect with their peers and share their learnings with each other. With more than 1,000 members, they are Australia’s leading executive membership organisation for CEOs and senior executives. In 2013, we became the first Australian business to partner with UNESCO in support of the “Malala Fund for Girls' Right to Education” echoing the Institute's values of professional development and personal growth. Building on its success in Australia, in 2014, The CEO Institute began offering its programs globally.
Its flagship program, The CEO Syndicate, is an exclusive peer support network for CEOs and business leaders that offers experiential learning and mutual group mentoring to its members - many of whom have been with us for well over 10 years. The first meeting of The CEO Syndicate program was held in Melbourne in June 1992. After establishing its reputation in Melbourne, The CEO Institute opened in Adelaide in 1996 and established itself in Sydney and Brisbane in 1997, with the Perth office launching in 2007. In 2015 the New Zealand office was opened in Auckland.
The Future CEO program is a certification course designed for future business leaders. It equips next-generation leaders with the skills, knowledge and contacts they need to confront problems and manage growth. The first Future CEO meeting was held in Melbourne in May 2012. It is a proven path to success that equips participants with the knowledge, skills and contacts needed to take over senior leadership roles. In 2014, the Future CEO Scholarship Fund for Women was established, in support of women executives seeking to develop their leadership skills in business. The Scholarship continues to be offered today and into the future.
